Letter from Mom Caraway

Hello Alumni,

Another semester is over and there was much talk at Formal regarding Epsilon history. Randall Cupp was here again this year and reminded everyone about the 100th anniversary coming up in 19 years. Sounds like a long time, but time goes much faster than we all care to admit. Due to the fact that Epsilon has not been given a permanent storage facility at the University, much of our history has been lost. The items donated by Mrs. Murfin cannot be found, the Clyde Quick pledge class plaque that has been passed down by past presidents was last seen in a garage, and the original charter has recently been found and is to be given to me for safe keeping. Hopefully we can come up with a few good suggestions on how to find the missing pieces and what to do about a good home for the items that Epsilon needs to keep for the future.

It was also mentioned that a book should be compiled for the 100th anniversary. So here is a challenge for all alumni: Try to come up with some history, pictures, stories—anything—that might be of interest in a historical fashion. And above all contact Randy Cupp with your ideas and information. We have been fortunate to have great Alumni Secretaries this year who have worked very hard in compiling a completed list of all alumni interested in maintaining contact with the fraternity. With the new alumni blog it is very easy to send your information and it is of great help to the active Alumni Secretary, so please encourage all your alumni friends to get online!

I hope to see many of you in Columbia on July 19 for the Summer Alumni Event!

As Always in LFS,

Linda "Mom" C.
