Greetings all!
This is Garrett Bremer, the new Alumni Secretary for the Spring Semester. I am just wanting to introduce myself and tell you all what has been going on with Epsilon since the fall semester ended. 27 actives and 1 alumni attended the National Convention in Boston, Massachusetts. The entire experience was a blast and we were honored with numerous awards including: Chapter of Excellence Award (the diamond level), the Pledge Program of Excellence (diamond level), National Scouting Award (honorable mention), and the National Leadership Award. The diamond level is the highest level that a chapter could achieve and the National Leadership award is only given to one chapter in the nation.
As the new semester begins, Rush Week is approaching fast. It starts the 25th of January and concludes with Smoker on February 1st in the Alumni Room at a time to be announced. I will let you all know. This semester, the theme is Robin Hood and the shirts are "Robin Hood and APO serving through the campus". The Rush Chairs are working very hard and are doing a good job. At smoker, Greg Thompson (graduated in May 2007) will be giving the keynote address as he is also being honored as being the pledge class namesake.
This is an exciting time in APO and I invite all of you to participate in the activities of our chapter.
