Pledge Class!

Ok,

I said I'd be updating this bi-weekly, but I wanted to wait until we had the pledge class in before doing the next post.

We have 49 awesome littles, and they've all been paired with super-awesome alumni pen pals, who should be receiving email messages/facebook messages shortly. Thank you everyone for participating, and if you wanted in but found out too late or we ran out of littles, just ask about it again next semester. This semester's pledging theme is Sesame Street, so be excited.

Rush was great, and the theme was Toy Story "You've got a friend in me."

Beyond this, the chapter is doing much of the regular stuff, service at the triathlon, Red Barn is this weekend, the airshow was a couple weeks ago, etc.

Nationals is in Atlanta this year, email Josh Soto if you need to coordinate anything with the chapter with regards to that. jes089@truman.edu. Also Liz Bledsoe, emb2378@truman.edu They're our voting delegates this year.

So that's all for now, have a good one guys!

Camp is THE LAST WEEKEND IN OCTOBER AND IN COLUMBIA SO I EXPECT ALL OF YOU TO BE THERE NO EXCUSES.

in lfs,

JW

Blog Re-Updated!

Hey alum!

This is JW Schneider, your Alumni Chair for Fall 2010. I'm a senior at Truman, and I pledged in Fall '07. I've had 7 littles, and have been the Historian, Webmaster, and Membership chairs in semesters past.

Robert (Rob) Davies is the man to contact if you need the President (rbd3453@truman.edu), and if you're still getting emails from APO and you don't want to, talk to Stephen Quinn (smq6357@truman.edu)

I'm bringing the blog back this semester, and hopefully subsequent alumni chairs will keep it going.

Some updates on what you've missed:

1) Camp T-Bird is no more. The owners are trying to sell it off, which is sad. Camp has officially been moved to Camp Silver Meadows, as Julie pointed out a few days ago (see previous post). It is a Girl Scout camp near Columbia. This means that far more of you can actually attend! Camp this year will be the weekend of the 29th of October. Email me for directions or further details at apoepsilonalumni@gmail.com.

2) There will be a semi-formal this year, and all alumni are encouraged to come! I'll be posting the date and location as soon as I can.

3) For those of you who know him, Andy Karcher is getting married at the end of September, so if you haven't seen him in a while now might be a good time to reconnect.

4) We had a sweet alumni event this August in St. Louis. You all missed out, or, if you came, you all had a blast.

5) There will be a Forget-Me-Not this semester, and if you want it please give me a mailing or email address! I have a number of contacts, but my list is a bit out of date. Don't be shy about giving me the addresses of alumni who don't read the blog either.

6) Nationals is in Atlanta this year, so if any alum are out there, give me a shout out and I'll put you in touch with our Nationals Committee.

Ok, so I'll try and update this bi-weekly, keep on the lookout for posts!

-Signing off,

JW Schneider
