Welcome to the Alpha Phi Omega-Epsilon Alumni Blog!
Let me introduce myself: My name is Stephen Barnes, and I will be the Alumni Secretary for Spring 2008 (wow, it's so strange to even type 2008!). I pledged back in Fall 2004 and this will be my last semester at Truman, so I figured why not take on the Alumni position since I'm going to be one myself soon enough! I'm very excited for the semester, and I look forward to making great connections with many of you!
This blog was originally started last spring to help keep the alumni informed about the plans surrounding Formal. This semester I've decided to bring the blog back full force and make it an integral part of our chapter's communication with Epsilon alumni! My goal is to update it every week or every other week so that YOU can be regularly informed on chapter proceedings, alumni events, alumni announcements, and any other general Epsilon merriment! This will not only allow me to regularly post important information as it comes up, but it also means that YOU will be able to check back as regularly as you like to find out what's going on. Hopefully I'll even be able to put up some pictures and video throughout the semester!
Another great feature of this blog is that anyone, whether they have a gmail account or not, can comment on the posts. This means you can give your feedback on anything that's going on within Epsilon. You may even see a comment from an old brother that you've lost contact with and be able to reconnect! My hope is that this blog will be able to continue on each semester, so please take advantage of it. I think it has great potential.
Many of you will have already found this out by e-mail, but I've also switched the alumni e-mail account over from Hotmail to Gmail. The new address is the same otherwise, so it shouldn't be hard to remember: apoepsilonalumni@gmail.com Incidentally, it is the same thing for the blog address: apoepsilonalumni.blogspot.com Please contact me with anything throughout the semester: address updates, exciting news about what you're doing, announcements, comments, questions. We're always so excited to hear from our alumni!
I hope all is going well for each of you. I look forward to working with you this semester!
Stephen Barnes
Alumni Secretary
